August 16 – Line Dancing with Betty Scofield, at the Community Center, 9:30am – intermediate, 11am – beginners, $4 drop-in fee.

September 4 – HAPPY LABOR DAY! Enjoy time with your family and friends on this holiday. The pool will have a delayed opening time of 8am, no Cardio Splash class with Open Swim beginning at 1pm.  Normal operating hours will resume Tuesday, Sept. 5. September 6 – Line Dancing with Betty Scofield, at the Community Center, 9:30am – intermediate, 11am – beginners, $4 drop-in fee.

September 8 – Middle School ONLY Pool Party, 7-9pm, $5. Pool will close to the public at 6:45pm.

September 13 – Line Dancing with Betty Scofield, at the Salida Steamplant Ballroom, 9:30am – intermediate, 11am – beginners, $4 drop-in fee.

September 14-17 – Salida Bikefest!! A 4 day festival celebrating bicycles of all kinds! Various groups in Salida have teamed up to create and promote unique and fun bike events throughout the week. Free group rides, bike-related travelogue, the chainless race, a kick-off party at Soulcraft Brewing with live music, a bike parade, the Banana Belt Mountain Bike Race sponsored by Absolute Bikes, the 19th Annual Monarch Crest Crank and much more! Click here for more information.

September 18 – Pool Closure begins. The Salida Hot Springs Aquatic Center will be closed for 6-8 weeks as we work on a major lap lane renovation and our bi-yearly maintenance and cleaning. All active passes will be extended for shutdown time PLUS compensated for 1 extra month!

September 22 – CAMP Friday fall programming begins. Exploration, Enrichment, and Empowerment for students. Salida Recreation is partnering with many great organizations to host CAMP Friday, a weekly program for kids ages 5-8 years old. Each week offers different activities that encourage scientific, natural, musical, artistic, and physical exploration. Ages: 5 to 8 year old students, $5/student per session. Fall CAMPS will run through November 17. Meeting Locations TBD.
