Regular Chess Tournaments In Salida - Starting in 2008
January 12th, February 9th., March 8th., April 12th., May 10th., and June 14th.

Fees: NONE
Registration is at 8:30am.
Clock time is 45 minutes without delays
Tournament play begins as follows: Rd 1 @ 9:15am, Rd 2 @ 11am. Lunch 12:30pm – 1:15pm. Rd 3 @ 1:15pm and Rd 4 @ 3pm.
USCF and Knights of The Rockies Chess Association (KRCA) membership required. Membership fees for KRCA are $12 per year and qualifies you to attend all monthly tournaments at no additional charge.
USCF rules apply.
No awards unless individuals wish to put money in a hat or something like this. Please let me know your wishes. It takes 10 days to get trophies. We could also make this decision before tournament play and have the trophies available at our next monthly tournament.
I will try and have as many sections as possible subject to the number of players attending.

Salida Cash Open September 29, 2007 - Final Standings
Site: Scout Hut, located on the Arkansas River, Riverside Park, Sackett St., Salida, Colorado. Family Park, fishing, biking, hiking, hot springs swimming and dinning W/I immediate area.
Time Control: G/45 No 5 sec delay
Open: Open to all USCF players and unrated players. $175 for 1st. place, $50 for 2nd. place. Trophies for 1st, 2nd., 3rd. place.
Reserve: Open to all USCF players rated 1500 and below and unrated players. Trophies for 1st., 2nd., and 3rd. for the following sections. New Beginner with pairing rating of 0 -500
Intermediate Beginner 501– 800
Advanced Beginner 801 - 1200
Experienced Player 1201 – 1500.
Entry Fees: $20 for Open, $15 for Reserve. All, $5 more after 9/15/07
