Salida Park Information and Reservations
Salida’s many parks are great places to play or picnic. Each offers a unique set of amenities, from simple grassy expanses to full-on recreational facilities. All of the parks are available to rent for special events. Alcohol is not permitted in Salida Parks, unless a Special Event Permit has been obtained. You must be a 501c3 to obtain a Special Event Permit.

Riverside Park
Nestled up against the Arkansas River in a beautiful treed setting, Riverside Park is in the heart of downtown Salida. Stroll through the park on one of the new paths, or attend a performance in the newly renovated bandshell.
Centennial Park
Where else can you play tennis, basketball, volleyball, horseshoes, have a picnic or a barbecue, and go for a swim? Centennial Park is Salida’s largest park with 12.4 acres and is adjacent to the Salida Hot Springs Aquatic Center. There’s a large covered pavilion with 8 picnic tables and 4 grills, making it the perfect place to host your family or class reunion. The Salida Hot Springs Aquatic Center has athletic equipment you can check out, free of charge, with an ID.
Salida Scout Hut
The Salida Scout Hut was built in the 1940’s and has been home to many local events over the decades including Scouting events, dances, weddings, and movies. Located in Riverside Park, the building has one large room with a great hardwood floor, perfect for dancing! If you’re looking for a place to hold your event, check out the Salida Scout Hut.
