Pool Activities

The pool is home to 2 local youth swim teams, host to over a dozen water fitness classes a week, and open to the public 70 – 90 hours a week, depending on the season.  We also run swim lessons and host special events throughout the year.  Please check the calendar for lap swim, parent/tot swim, open swim and special events.


Lap Swimming

We have designated lap swim anytime before 1 pm Monday – Saturday (see schedule). We also usually have two lap lanes out during regular swim hours, although open swim prices do apply. Drop In, $5, punch passes and memberships accepted. FREE WITH SILVER SNEAKERS MEMBERSHIP!

The Aquatic Center is shared by many user groups. Lap lane availability may vary!!  In order to make your lap swimming as enjoyable as possible, we offer a handout “Best Lap Swim Times” each month to help you choose the best time to work out.   Sharing lap lanes is an important skill. When 2 swimmers are in the lane, please decide together whether you will circle swim or each take a side of the lane. When 3 or more people are in a lane, please circle swim. Always try to find a lane where others are swimming at a similar pace, and be conscious of when you push off of the wall.

Drop-In Water Fitness Classes – Schedule and Descriptions

NEW! WATER PILATES
Fridays 8:00-9:00am (beginning Feb. 2)
This class combines traditional Pilates moves with natural resistance of water and use of props to build core strength and aid in proper body alignment. The class incorporates floating water exercise and stretching to improve flexibility and range of motion.
