SALIDA RECREATION AND THE SALIDA STEAMPLANT PRESENT:
THE INAUGURAL FATHER/DAUGHTER DANCE ~ ACROSS THE AGES  ~

THIS EVENT IS SOLD OUT!

February 17, 2018, 6:30-8:30pm. All ages welcome! Uncles, Grandfathers and Dads are encouraged to bring your special little lady or ladies, no matter the age!!

Come dance and mingle with other fathers and daughters while you create precious memories.

Phreckles Photography will be present to capture you and your shining princess(es). Light appetizers and desserts will be provided. This is an alcohol free event

MONARCH SKI BUS

Salida Recreation, in partnership with Monarch Mountain, begins their Ski Bus service to Monarch Mountain on Friday, December 22. The Ski Bus will run Fridays & Saturdays ONLY until March 17. Click here for more information and details.

CAMP FRIDAYS

Salida Recreation’s Winter CAMP Friday programming begins January 12 and will run through March 9. This session will be followed by our Spring CAMP Fridays from April 6 through May 5. Exploration, Enrichment, and Empowerment for students. Salida Recreation is partnering with many great organizations to host CAMP Friday, a weekly program for kids ages 5-8 years old. Each week offers different activities that encourage scientific, natural, musical, artistic, and physical exploration. For complete details visit our Friday Enrichment Hub page.

All participants must pre-register and have a completed liability waiver on file at the Aquatic Center. Payment must be made at time of registration. Youth scholarship funds may be used for any programs, classes or field trips.

JOIN SALIDA RECREATION AND SALIDA CIRCUS: CIRCUS SKILLS
AERIAL, ACROBATICS AND EQUILIBRISTIC CLASSES FOR YOUTH AGES 4+

Salida Circus tutors Jennifer Dempsey, Heather Haggerty and Joan Lobeck will be leading Circus Skills classes including Tumbling, Acrobatic balancing, Aerial and Equilibiristics (juggling, etc). Participants will use aerial fabric, static trapeze and lyra. Skills taught include traditional and Russian climb, foot locks, hip keys on silks; single/double moves on trapeze and lyra. All classes are suitable for beginners and those with experience.

JIVE & DIVE MIDDLE SCHOOL ONLY POOL PARTIES

The Salida Hot Springs Aquatic Center hosts middle school aged children for a private pool party one Friday each month. This is a drop-in program, cost is $5 per person and includes open swim from 7-9pm and a dessert snack at the end of the night. We will close to the public at 6:45pm for these events.

Winter Dates are as follows:
January 19, February 9 and March 2

Spring Dates are as follows:
April 20 and May 4

KAYAK ROLL SESSIONS – TUESDAY NIGHTS FROM 7-9PM BEGIN JANUARY 16, 2018 (through April 24).

A dedicated time just for you and your boat to practice your roll in the calm, warm waters of the pool, cost $8. Volunteer instructors from RMOC are often available to give tips and advice. Bring your own gear; helmets and PFD’s must be worn at all times. Ages 10+ (children under 10 cannot be in the water), 20 boats max allowed in the pool at one time. No punch passes or membership add-ons accepted. No classes March 13, 20, 27. No preregistration required.

New this year: Each participant MUST have a signed agreement regarding rules and regulations of this program on file at the front desk of the Aquatic Center prior to getting in the pool with equipment. Download the agreement, be sure you have read it completely and bring a signed copy with you the first time you attend. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in making this a fun and safe program for everyone.
