All active passes will be extended for shutdown time PLUS compensated for 1 extra month!

Line Dancing with Betty Scofield

Learn the steps, feel the music and practice to the beat! Betty Scofield will be back again to teach this terrific class. Betty specializes in showing a wide range of people with varying ability levels how to have fun on the dance floor. No matter when you start, or at what level, you’ll catch up in no time. 6th Annual Salida Bike Fest

Join us September 14-17, 2017 for our 6th Annual Salida Bike Fest – a 4 day festival celebrating bicycles of all kinds! Various groups in Salida have teamed up to create and promote unique and fun bike events throughout the week. Free group rides, bike-related travelogue, the chainless race, a kick-off party at Soulcraft Brewing with live music, a bike parade, the Banana Belt Mountain Bike Race sponsored by Absolute Bikes, the 19th Annual Monarch Crest Crank and much more! Fall CAMP Friday 2017

Salida Recreation’s Fall CAMP Friday programming begins September 22 and will run through November 17. Exploration, Enrichment, and Empowerment for students. Salida Recreation is partnering with many great organizations to host CAMP Friday, a weekly program for kids ages 5-8 years old. Each week offers different activities that encourage scientific, natural, musical, artistic, and physical exploration. High Country Bank presents the 2nd Annual Octoberfest

Friday October 6, 4-8pm, Saturday October 7, 11-6pm, FREE admission
Mark your calendars, call your friends and plan to bring the entire family. Three bands including That Polka Band, The Swashbuckling Doctors and The Groove Farmers, will entertain us on the SteamPlant Plaza. There will be fun contests & prizes for kids, dogs, and adults. A German-themed kids’ activity station will be hosted by Salida Recreation. Come hungry because Wallbangers will be serving up traditional German food.  Great German-style beers will be on tap and free commemorative beer steins will go to the first 40 people on Friday night and the first 60 people on Saturday. Additional steins will be for sale until they’re gone. Watch for additional information on specific events as the date approaches. Don’t miss out on this fun, free community event.

For all recreation programs, classes and events, please register at least three days prior to start of programs.  All participants must have a completed liability waiver on file at the Aquatic Center.  Payment must be made at time of registration.  No Drop-ins accepted (except where noted on class description).  Youth scholarship funds are available here and may be used for any Salida Recreation program, classes and field trips.
