Registration is NOW OPEN for Salida BikeFest’s Banana Belt Mountain Bike Race!

Registration Details:

Registration for the 2017 Banana Belt is now open!   Registration cost is $40 per person (pre-registration). All race day registrations will be charged an additional $10.

Please use your age on race day when signing up for your event category.

Entry fee includes a supported timed race, a piece of race apparel, post race snacks and barbecue, one drink coupon for the after party, and a half-off coupon to the Salida Hot Springs Aquatic Center for use at a later date.

Race day registration is available at Riverside Park in downtown Salida from 9:45-10:45am for $50.

Registration categories include the following for males and females: ages 19 and under; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60 and over; and singlespeed.  We will add additional age brackets (in 10 year increments) for racers 70 and over if we receive registrants in that age group.

Race Details:

Time:  Race begins at 11:00 am

Location:  Race will begin and end in downtown Salida, in the F Street bridge area

Price:  $40 pre-registration, $50 race day

Race day registration: 9:45 – 10:45, at Riverside Park, $50

Distance:  Approximately 26 miles

Course Route Details:

This 26 mile mountain bike race begins and ends in downtown Salida by Riverside Park, located on Sackett Avenue. After the race begins in downtown Salida, riders will cross over Hwy 50 and head up CR 101 to the Rainbow Trail. Riders then begin a rolling six mile stretch of single-track before descending via CR 108, the Little Rainbow Trail, and finally Race Track trail. Riders then head back to downtown Salida.

The race will begin with a mass start at 11:00 am at the F Street bridge in downtown Salida. We expect riders to place themselves in a start position appropriate to their ability.
